About This Event

Join a discussion about the 25th US Infantry “Buffalo Soldiers,” one of four segregated regiments at Fort Snelling during the 1880s, and learn about their connections to the Twin Cities and their legendary 2000-mile bicycle experiment.

After the Civil War, many Black regulars went on to make the Twin Cities home after their service in the Army and we will discuss these historical connections to the area. This talk will also address African American service in the US military on the national scale, which dates back to the American Revolution.

Enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee during this informal chat!
