My dear Mr. Vasaly: Hammerberg

Mrs. Hammerberg, mother of Carl Hammerberg, has secured a
position at the Klearflax Rug Company and is now earning $18.00 a week. Last
Saturday we took Mrs. Isaacson to a doctor and made partial arrangements for her
confinement. She also swore out a warrant charging her husband with desertion
and nonsupport.
Mrs. Hammerberg feels that it will be possible for her
to get along under the present arrangement providing Mrs. Isaacson is cared for
during confinement. I am wondering if it would advisable to see how the present
plan works out before applying for a County Allowance.
We would
appreciated any suggestion you can make in the matter and would advise you of
any developments in the case.
