Training/Experience: Angela Julin is a senior archaeologist and Principal Investigator with over 15 years of experience in cultural resource management. She exceeds the Secretary of Interior's professional qualification standards for archaeology and has experience completing Section 106 and National Environmental Policy Act documentation and complying with state and local regulations. Angela has conducted archaeological survey, site evaluation, technical oversight, and review for Federal and State-level reviews including National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Rural Utilities Service (RUS), and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)-compliance-based cultural resource investigations for projects in the Midwest and nationwide. Her expertise includes conducting Phase I reconnaissance survey, Phase II evaluation survey, and Phase III data recovery excavations; conducting background research and literature reviews; authoring reports; precontact site stabilization; historic and precontact site condition assessments; and archaeological monitoring and reporting of construction activities. She also has experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing applications for archaeology, including development of predictive models.
