What to See and Do

Explore this stunning example of late Victorian architecture while you learn about the life and people of the early days of Fargo-Moorhead.

Join a guided tour and learn about the restored house and the colorful Queen Anne and Eastlake furniture and tapestries. Stop by the small exhibit on the first floor to hear the story of Solomon G. Comstock and his impact on Red River Valley history.

Walk through the 11-room, two-story home restored to its 1883 appearance and see elements of both Queen Anne and Eastlake designs. Step into the parlor, library, and sitting room on the first floor, then venture into the back of the house to see the dining room, pantry, kitchen, bedroom, and bath. Then follow the beautiful oak balustrade staircase upstairs where you’ll find four bedrooms and a maid's chamber.

Many rooms contain original furnishings and personal effects of the Comstock family.
