June 16, 1920. Governor J. A. A. Burnquist, Saint Paul, Minnesota. Dear Governor Burnquist: Our Attention has been called to the mob outrage which occurred at Duluth, in your state. This is a matter of such grave character that we assume that some official investigation has been made. If so, would you please send us a statement of the facts? Would you also inform us of the statutes in Minnesota relating to mob violence? What steps have been taken under such statutes to apprehend those responsible for the lynchings of the negroes at Duluth on June 15ht?
