Hon. J. A. A. Burnquist:
St. Paul- Minn,

My Dear Govenor: [sic]

As you know Our City- State and Nation by the hands of a Bloodthirsty Mob perpetrated [sic] the must [sic] brutal and disloyal and shameful act ever committed in a civilized Contry [sic] for which act I as a Citizen of Duluth-- Minnesota and of the U.S. an act that can never be eradicated from our City, our State and Nation, feel ashamed of.
As I have always admired you for your courage in executing your duties, no matter what the consequences may be, I have the hope that you swill do all in your power to bring to Justice those who are guilty and to spare no effort nor cost to bring the guilty ones to respect the Laws and to set an example for the future for those who are inclined to be showing a tendency to Mob rule.
Our Goverment [sic] nationally has been lax and lacking in the past to do their duty in bringing about procecutions [sic] concerning Mob rules and it is a disgrace to our beloved Contry [sic], we who set ourselves up as an example for other Nations, that we have not done any more in the past to rid our nation from the mob rule. Just because Our Government [sic] has been lax and lacking, as indicated, the Mob has been encouraged because of such conditions. With the Townleyism work-

ing overtime to get Control of Our State it behoves [sic] every liberty loving loyal Citizen to wake up and fight with teeth and clows [sic] to keep our beloved state in the respectable rank.
This act in our City is a fair sample of what we can expect from Nonpartisan Regime.
It seems to me that the people of our state does not realize the eminent danger with which are confronted otherwise they ought to get up and get out and fight for preserving our State for "God, Home and Country.”
With the most IMPLICIT FAITH IN YOU AS A GOVERNOR who has in the past proven worthy to govern our state that you in this case will help us as citizens of Duluth to go after those who so shamfully [sic] stained our City which Can NEVER, NEVER be eradicated.
I enclose you my sentiment scribbled [sic] on Our Flag Day, written the day before this terrible happening.
With the deepest Love sad repect [sic] for You as our Govenor [sic], I remain Your Disgraced and Humble Citizen.

PRESERVE "OUR MINNESOTA" "FOR GOD, HOME and LIBERTY"

"FOR GOD, HOME and COUNTRY.

We have reached the State of Townley's test,
With Labor troubles and Unrest,
It's Important now to take firm stand
To vote out this CONFOUNDED GANG.
Chorus:
Be Sure and vote and DOWN their Loot
In "Minnesota" at the Booth.
Our Minnesota with its fame
The Bread and Butter State in name.
Keep up your nerve, We must preserve:
GOD, HOME AND COUNTRY, We will Serve.
-O-
The Nonpartisan-Bolsheviks
The Socialists with ALL their Tricks,
Are trying hard to get CONTROL.

Of Minnesota at the polls.
-O-

But we shall stand up for the right

And Townleyism we shall fight,

Their Politics but schemes and Fake

The Money from the Farmers take.
-O-
For "GOD and HONE [sic]" They have no use

Religion- Churches They abuse,

They claim They are a Brotherhood
in which Dwelleth All that's Good.
