Miss Maude Craig,
Secretary Universal Negro
Improvement Ass’n,
1274 Granville St.,
Vancouver, B.C.

Dear Madam:--

With reference to your letter of June 19th relative to the Duluth affair, it may interest you to know that twelve persons have already been indicted and arrested on first degree murder charges on account of alleged participation in the lynchings. The grand jury has not completed its investigation and the state departments are, of course, cooperating in every way possible.

Very truly yours,

B/VS
