About This Event

History and science come together in a day of family activities focusing on the role of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) for the past and present of the Minneapolis riverfront. Try a variety of STEM-related activities presented by Mill City Museum and event guests including:

  • Petite Concerts with an 11 am show
  • Z Puppets Rosenschnoz with The Amazing Gnip Gnop Circus 2 pm show
  • MN Raptor Center with an eagle and other raptors
  • MN Astronomical Society with astrophotography
  • Mississippi National River and Recreation Area with mini boats and weights
  • Geological Society of MN having fun with rocks
  • General Mills Wheat and Flour Labs with the science of wheat (with museum admission)
  • American Chemical Society with recovering iron from cereal
  • Ardent Milling with moving and grinding wheat
  • The University of Minnesota Forestry Department with urban forestry
  • Minneapolis Parks with Engineering for Insects
  • The Book Buggie with FREE books!
