Guest Services Ambassador

The Ideal volunteer for this position will serve as an ambassador to Historic Fort Snelling and the Minnesota Historical Society by creating a welcoming atmosphere, assisting with wayfinding and questions, and providing information to all visitors to the historic site. The Guest Services Ambassador will be the first point of contact for most visitors, but is also supported by staff at the nearby information/ticketing desk.

Anyone interested in volunteering for this position must be friendly and welcoming. Physically, a volunteer in this role must be comfortable being stationary or moving about the museum for portions of shift. The schedule will vary depending on the season, but volunteers can expect a time commitment for this position of one shift per week, either in the morning or afternoon, approximately 4 hours per day.
